Save the Enviroment, Save The World !

More natural disasters happen because of global warming. The earthquakes in China and America, the tsunami in New Orleans, tornadoes, hurricanes, droughts, wildfires, typhoons, etc. are made worse by global warming. Global warming is also making these happen more often. Global warming is causing holes in the ozone layer which is causing droughts and making more people die from skin cancer every year.

The Polar ice caps are melting and some land is already flooded from the rising sea levels. If 50 percent of the world's ice melts, streams and rivers will overflow, dry up and cause thousands of people and animals to die from disease and starvation.

All you have to do is recycle your rubbish. It's easy ! Don't dump your litter on the ground. Just wait until you find a bin and put your rubbish in it instead. You don't have to go around with papers in your pocket for hours. There are bins everywhere. You can make a big diference if you do this.

We can use compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs) to save energy. These cost less and last longer than ordinary bulbs. If we recycle just ONE aluminium can, it will provide enough energy to power a TV for 3 hours ! We can use recycled products like paper, use washing machines and dishwashers when they are full to use up less water. If we move our thermostats down 2 degrees in winter and up 2 degrees in summer, we can save up to 2000 lbs of carbon dioxide and 98 bucks a year !
